What are the real benefits we can get from exercising?
Most of us already know the importance of exercise, and know we need to at least do some sort of physical activity during the week to keep our bodies in good healthy working order.
With all the information available about exercise and its importance, millions of people still don't take the advice of experts and even medical professionals that incorporating exercise or a type of physical activity into your day can make huge positive changes to their day to day lives.

Exercise improves mood and promotes the release of 'feel good hormones' in the brain.
When you exercise, your body releases chemicals called endorphins.
These endorphins interact with the receptors in your brain which then trigger a positive feeling in the body, very similar to that of morphine.
So when you exercise you feel more alive, alert, and capable of taking on all the challenges of the day.

Exercise prevents disease and a long list of illnesses.
Exercise can help prevent heart disease. A big problem especially in the USA and the UK.
Regular exercise that helps get blood pumping round your system lowers blood pressure, helps maintain a healthy weight and reduces cholesterol - all major factors in the prevention of heart disease.
You only need a moderate amount of exercise to reap these benefits. You don't have to go hell for leather and go from doing nothing to spending hours every day in the gym.
People who do regular activity, even on a basic level, have a lower risk of many chronic diseases, such as heart disease, type 2 diabetes, stroke, and some cancers.

Exercise is a fantastic partner to a healthy eating lifestyle.
Not only does regular exercise help burn calories which in turn helps us to control our body weight, it helps release bad toxins from the body by the sweat we lose during bouts of exercise or physical activity.
