Simple every day tips to stay healthy
Hi everyone, looks like the sun has gone away for another year, it'll soon be back to the cold mornings and dark early evenings.
But this doesn't mean our exercise has to stop or slow down!
If anything, now it's getting colder again, exercise is just the thing we can do to keep our bodies warm, all from the comfort of our own homes or offices.
And here I reveal 4 daily habits you can start adding to your routines to help you on your way to a healthier and happier you!
# 1 - Get to bed earlier of an evening
This might sound obvious to some, but a lot of us don't realise the time ticking by as we sit static in front of our televisions, phones or computer screens.
Instead, opt for reading a book. Not only will this help our minds and bodies relax and wind down, studies show that staring at a bright screen before bed can have negative effects on the quality of sleep we get. Not to mention the strain it puts on our eyes.
# 2 - Drink more water daily
Studies show that drinking 2-4 litres of water per day is essential for optimum health - especially on hot days and when we exercise, as sweat causes us to lose many salts and minerals from our bodies.
This will ensure we stay hydrated.
Dehydration can cause a whole list of problems that range from a lack of energy and drive, loss of strength, general health issues and much more.
Keep a bottle of water with you as much as you can.
# 3 - Eat less sugary foods
Eating too much sugar is one of the worst things you can do to your body. It can have many negative effects on your health.
It has been shown to contribute to obesity, type 2 diabetes, heart disease, cancer and tooth decay.
It is so important not to confuse processed sugars with natural sugars found in foods such as fruits (fructose).
Not ALL sugar is bad, but there is no use for processed sugar. Opt for natural sweeteners and in sauces for the best option, or try making your own at home!

# 4 - Cut out the pre-made processed foods

This is understandable as everybody's day to day life is different.
